Run by the Perfumery Art School UK The location is in rural Andalucia, Spain in the olive and almond farming village of Campo Camara with 550 inhabitants so it is for people who like nature, skywatching, walking and quietness as apart from some local events, there are not a lot of activities taking place in this part of the world:)
3 km down the road, there is the Unesco Biosphere Reserve of Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas. This is where Isabelle Gellé (your tutor and perfumer) takes you for the Forest bathing (Shinri Yoku) activity (which is part of the Immersive courses option).

- Introducing the SHINRI YOKU concept: ‘forest bathing’ in Japanese. A novel way to learn perfumery by optimising your senses outdoors. Stand still, listen, see, touch, forage wild flowers, smell Nature and be inspired to create fragrances that stand out for personal use or places. 2 days to 1 week in Spring or Fall.
- Includes accommodation, daily morning or afternoon guided forest bathing/nature watch/foraging activity, the creation of a home fragrance or diffuser fragrance: £220/day (minimum 2 days)
TRAINING OPTIONS AND FEES (IN GBP)
- Most of the courses can be customised to suit your needs.
- Classes run from 10h00 to 16h00 Mondayto Friday. Weekends are free.
- Months during which courses can be taken are April-June, September-October.
- One morning or afternoon of Shinri Yoku (Forest bathing) is included in the Immersive classes (weather permitting)
- 2 weeks or more immersive perfumery course to learn the ABC of the Art and Business of Artisanal perfumery in real time:
- Price for 2 weeks for a single person with accommodation = £3150 – Extra days: £250/day
- Price per person for 2 weeks with shared accommodation (2 maximum) = £2620 – Extra days: £210/day
- 2 weeks advanced training for those experienced artisanal perfumers who would like to take their knowledge to the next level, use a different approach to creation or to learn the challenges of running an artisan perfumery business:
- Price for 2 weeks for a single person with accommodation = £3650
- Price per person for 2 weeks with shared accommodation (2 maximum) = £2920
- 4 weeks combination of Beginner to Advanced level is possible on demand and depending on availability
- CO-LAB: To produce your own line in as little as 50 bottles up to 250 bottles, using our equipment OR let us produce on your behalf.
- Use of the studio to make your own line: £25/hour – This implies you have your own bottles and packaging
- Production by us: £3 per unit including maceration in alcohol, filtering, decanting in your bottles, labelling, packaging – Shipment not included (can be arranged on request)
